On a professional level, I want to prepare myself for the business world. My goal is to achieve a 4.00 GPA term during the fall semester of my freshman year. I want to get a high GPA, so that future employers will see that I am a reliable, hard worker. Also, I want to get a job that will allow me to support myself and my family. Westerm Michigan University is helping me to achieve my goals in many ways. First, my busy schedule of basketball practice and classes are helping to improve my time management skills. Second, I am learning to take my take my level of comprehension and creativity to the next level. Finally, I am being taught that team work and perserverence is essential to success. Western has helped me realize that I want a job that will help others and satisfy my sense of accomplishment.

On a personal level, Western Michigan University is helping me to understand myself and the world in which I live. I have come to realize that there are many answers to the question, "why am I here?" College teaches me more than the importance of good grades. Western is teaching me to manage my relationships. I am working on balancing my personal and social life with my school and basketball life. I am learnign to change for the better. I have learned that all work and no play is very unhealthy. But, I have learned how to prioritize my life. I hope that Western Michigan University will continue to help me become a better person.
