Hi! I am Melisa Maiers, your child's first grade teacher. I hope that you have found this website to be helpful to both you and your child. Now here is my opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself. I have lived in Niles my whole life. I grew up living with my mom and my younger sister Alicia. My father lives in California. My mother is a first grade teacher. It wasn't always easy having a teacher as a mother. Now, I wouldn't trade it for the world!
As a child we traveled just about every summer. We traveled to New York City(my favorite), Hilton Head Island, Gulf Shores, Alabama, Memphis to see Elvis, Grand Canyon, Disney World, Disney Land, Hollywood, Las Vegas, Washington D.C., Chicago, and Mall of America. I love to travel and see many different things.
Another hobby of mine is scrapbooking. I love it! Although it has become quite an expensive hobby. I love to get the creative juices flowing. Another hobby of mine is ushering for the Notre Dame football games! I love going to the game and catching the "fever". There is nothing quite like getting to the stadium and just feeling the excitement! Go Irish!
