Lexis Nexis: Users in more than 100 countries count on LexisNexis Group to flex its information muscle. A unit of publishing giant Reed Elsevier Group, the company offers subscribers access to thousands of sources -- including newspaper, magazine, and journal articles, and public records -- through the Internet, CD-ROMs, and books. The bulk of its content focuses on legal, business, government, and tax information. The company's flagship Nexis service offers online access to more than 5 billion documents from some 34,000 sources. LexisNexis launched the Nexis news and business information research service in 1980; the company became part of Reed Elsevier Group in 1994. The Weinstein Company: Harvey and Bob maxed out? Never! The founders of Miramax, Harvey and Bob Weinstein, left that company in 2005 when they ended their 11 year relationship with Disney Studios. Immediately after exiting their contract with Disney, giving up the name Miramax as well as its valuable film library, the brothers founded The Weinstein Company and began working on the production, development, and acquisition of projects under the new moniker. Weinstein Co. titles include Transamerica, Mrs. Henderson Presents, and Matador. In 2006 the company released Scary Movie 4 under its Dimension label.
