Who Am I?

I am a graduate student entering my fifth year, seeking my Ph.D. in the Department of Political Science at Western Michigan University.

My research and teaching interests focus on the examination of the American mass media in the "post broadcast" era of communications. Specifically, my research has focused on questions involving the usage of new communication technologies such as the Internet and Cable television by politicians, as well as critically examining the concept of "digital democracy" and its importance to the changing political environment in the United States. To that end, my dissertation will focus on an examination of post-broadcast technologies and their affects on Congressional behavior.
