Dr. Larry Mallak is a
Professor
on the
Industrial
and Manufacturing Engineering faculty and a founding member
of the
Engineering
Management Research Laboratory
at Western Michigan University. Dr. Mallak teaches and conducts
research in engineering management and is works with healthcare
organizations to design and implement organizational change processes.
He previously served as a Research Scientist at Virginia Tech where he
helped sponsors implement culture change, quality management, and
large-scale organizational change. Dr. Mallak has worked as a
management engineer for the SunHealth Alliance (now Premier Healthcare)
in Charlotte, North Carolina. He holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in
industrial and systems engineering from Virginia Tech and holds a B.S.
in industrial engineering from the University of Illinois. He is a
senior member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers and a member of
the American Society for Quality and the Academy of Management. Dr.
Mallak is a Mass Media Fellow of the American Association for the
Advancement of Science.
