Speaking on a professional level, I believe that my goals are to become a well versed, friendly, and efficent Registered Nurse. I want to be able to work in the Labor and Delivery Unit in a hospital, or even work in the Neonatal Unit. Western Michigan Univeristy will help me achieve these goals by preparing me to work hard, and always push myself to the limit. The nursing program here at Western is very competitive, but rewarding. Most students have to apply mulitple time to get in. Therefore, I believe that after getting through the nursing program, my professional goals will have been accomplished. Speaking on a personal level, some of my college goals are to learn to understand people more deeply. My hometown was made up of many familys who had the same income and background. In turn, I hope that Western's diverse culture will help me experience and understand how other people were raised and learn some of their morals and values. If I plan to become a nurse, I must be able to connect with an individual and understand them. Mary Zwirner
