DELL DESCRIPTION The Group's principal activity is to design, develop, manufacture, market, sell and support a wide range of computer systems. It operates in four segments: Americas Commercial; Europe, Middle East and Africa ("EMEA") Commercial; Asia Pacific-Japan ("APJ") Commercial; and Global Consumer. It offer a broad range of product categories, including mobility products, desktop PCs, software and peripherals, servers and networking, services, and storage. The Group also offers various kinds of services which include managed, professional, deployment services, training and certification services and also financial services such as asset management services. TOSHIBA AMERICA DESCRIPTION (TAI) is the spitting image of its old man. The holding company, a subsidiary of high-tech titan Toshiba, handles North American business for its formidable parent. TAI's operating companies market laptops, servers, and PCs; MRIs and other medical imaging systems; semiconductors, electron tubes, and liquid crystal displays; copiers and other office equipment; and a range of consumer electronics products (TVs, cameras, cordless phones, DVD players). The company also provides grants for science and mathematics education through its not-for-profit organization, the Toshiba America Foundation. |
