GRAPHIC TRANSLATIONS:

For this project each individual selected an animal of their choice and drew a word from a lot of art principles. I chose an impala and I drew the word "depth". To begin, we created four black and white translations; one created only by defining the edges, one describing the animal's shape, one showing an interaction with the background, and one geometric interpretation. From there we were instructed to pick two of these and add color. Next we created one completely new translation in spread form that best demonstrated the art principle we chose. This was to be added to a book along with the spreads created by the rest of our classmates.
