I work with the PeopleSoft Accounts Payable module. PeopleSoft developed their software with the belief that the people that actually use the software should be the "functional" experts. The "functional" expert means that you have more knowledge than anyone else concerning you software module.
I have been working with PeopleSoft since 1996. As the "functional" expert, I learned that I had to document the office and software procedures. I have developed an impressive series of documents that assist in the training of new employees in my office. The documentation is also important because with out the documentation, I would never be able to take a vacation.
