Marketing is about knowing the customer. That way you can find out the best plan to prove to a customer that he needs your product, or trick him into thinking that he does. This is broken into three parts: Target marketing, Market segmenting, and Consumer Behavior. Target Marketing is when you target a certain group to market to. Market segmentation is when you take a target market and break it up into even smaller classifications. Consumer Behavior is the study of what makes people by stuff.

I don’t really want to be in marketing, but it is a lot easier to explain then supply chain. I guess marketing is pretty cool too. Get to sit in your office, Drink scotch, smoke; sounds fine with me. Heck, you would probably make so much money you could pay for the cancer treatment and the new liver.
