PepsiCo Inc Description The PepsiCo challenge (to keep up with archrival The Coca-Cola Company) never ends for the world's #2 carbonated soft-drink maker. The company's soft drinks include Pepsi, Mountain Dew, and Slice. It owns Frito-Lay, the world's #1 maker of snacks such as corn chips (Doritos, Fritos) and potato chips (Lay's, Ruffles). Cola is not the company's only beverage: PepsiCo sells Tropicana orange juice brands, Gatorade sports drink, and Aquafina water. PepsiCo also sells Dole juices (licensed) and Lipton ready-to-drink tea (licensed from Unilever). Its Quaker Foods division offers breakfast cereals (Life), pasta (Pasta Roni), rice (Rice-A-Roni), and side dishes (Near East). JanSport Inc Description JanSport's got your back covered when you're in the woods or trekking to and from school. It's one of the top makers of backpacks. Products include daypacks, laptop bags, outdoor packs, luggage, single-strap (messenger and sling) bags, and more. Some bags include NFL logos through a licensing agreement. The company also makes and markets men's and women's outdoor apparel and collegiate clothing. It moved its JanSport Equipment business to San Leandro, California, to the same location as parent VF Corporation's North Face division. The JanSport Custom Apparel business remains in Appleton, Wisconsin.
