Self Evaluation Of Course
Business 2700 is a valuable course to take in college as it prepares you for a future in business. In class we were introduced to valuable information about computer systems and communication technology. Great Plains software is user friendly and, although expensive, many corporations have chosen to purchase this software because it can be used easily by most employees and is useful for multiple functions. SAP is a more difficult software and most corporations have one person with extensive knowledge in this software to provide troubleshooting assistance.
In our class we spent a majority of time in-group work that required us to work in teams of four people. Teamwork is often a major part of the business world, especially when developing projects. I learned how to work well with a team, learning to depend on others and delegate. Each person working to complete his or her segment culminates into a successfully completed project.
As important as teamwork is, it is equally important to be able to work independently. I consider this to be one of my strengths. I am motivated to bring excellent work back to the team and work with the knowledge that others are depending on me to complete my segment of a project.
I was disappointed with the projects and found they were poorly developed, not helpful and often were busy work. Computer bugs often added to the frustration because at times they prevented completion of projects.
