A typical web user does not read the text on the computer monitor word for word as he or she would on a printed page. Web users tend to scan the page first by reading the headings and sub headings and highlighted words and try to get the main ideas containd on that page.
As designers who want to make it easier for visitors to get the onformation on our webpages, we should try to make the text more scannable. There are several suggesed strategies.
1. Break up the text into smaller paragraphs and create mre meaningful subheadings.
2. Highlight keywords- bold them, give them a different color etc.
3. Create bullet and numbered lists whenever possible.
