Assignment - Students will look online for TWO book reviews of the course textbook. You can do this while you are waiting for your book to arrive. Please briefly summarize the reviews in short 300 word summaries. Please include a working URL so that others can find the review if needed. Submit the reviews as Microsoft Word attachments in an email to the Instructor (poole@wmich.edu). Please complete this assignment by midnight on January 24 th.
Instructor Note: The book reviews were very good for the most part. My goal was to have you hear what others were saying about our textbook for this class. You all were able to find reviews that identified the importance of the book and the fact that it presented a rational and well constructed argument for the worlds current trend toward globalization. All of you were also able to find some negative or alternate opinions about some of Mr. FriedmanŐs ideas and concepts. While the book has many positive and constructive things to say about our current situation, there are alternative views and considerations that need also to be considered. All-in-all it was a good start for the class.
