R. PAUL VELLOM
received the B.A. degree in History from the University
of California at San
Diego in 1979, and Teacher Certification at the University of California
at Berkeley in
1980. He taught middle and high school
for ten years in Michigan and California. He received his Ph.D. degree in Science
Education from Michigan
State University
in 1995. He became a faculty member at
The Ohio State University, teaching in the integrated Mathematics, Science,
& Technology teacher education program.
Since 2002, he has been an Assistant Professor of Science Education at Western Michigan University. Research interests include pre-service
teacher development, classroom inquiry, and technology-enhanced instruction.
