Life Experiences

I am currently working in a first grade classroom at Edison Environmental Acadamy, for a literacy pre-internship. While there, I help out with reading, writing, and spelling exercises. I was amazed at how much these first graders could read and write already in the first months of first grade, and am even more impressed with how fast they are developing their reading skills. This is my very first pre-internship, so I am learning a lot about how a classroom is run and how to encourage students to continue trying although it is difficult and frustrating at times. Everyday I am there it is difficult to leave.
