My name is Rothie Nelson, and I am from Benton Harbor, Mi.  I am a senior majoring in Family Studies.  The current courses that I am taking are: FCS 2090 Consumer Education, FCS 2150 Adolescent Development, FCS 4130 Later Life Relationships, FCS 4150 Effective Parenting, and FCS 5680 Gender, Culture and Families.  I am glad to be a student at Western Michigan University.  I chose WMU because I knew this would be the right university for me.

   I'm a nice, kind, caring, understanding, outgoing, and smart person.  I'm a hardworking young black lady who will get the job done correctly.  I'm always doing what's right, I stay focused, and think positively about everything that I do.

   I like being around my family, traveling, getting to know all kinds of people, hanging out with friends, playing basketball, learning knew things, reading books, shopping, and going to movies.  I'm very honest about things that I do.  I always tell the truth because why lie to a person.

   I always pray and thank the Lord above for creating me.  Yes, I believe in God because he put me on earth for a purpose.  My purpose is to be loved and cared for by my family and to be somebody successful who will learn new things everyday, and who will get a lot of skills, experience, and knowledge.  I have a lot of wisdom in me and I know I will succeed in the things that I do only if I believe and trust in the Lord above.
