Welcome to the research website for the WMU Flight Proficiency Program (FPP). The goal of this research project is to determine if there is a need to create a new course or to modify an existing course to allow students who have completed their commercial single and multi engine training at Western Michigan University (WMU) to continue flying to maintain proficiency and currency. The need for this research is made clear by the fact that more students are flying during their freshman year of college and on average are finishing during their junior year. The study will look to see what these students are doing in terms of flying from the time that they have completed the required flight training at WMU until the time they graduate from the university. ***Check out the Crew Safety and Security Research homepage*** |
