Life Experiences:

Since I was a young child I have always aspired to be a teacher. In High School I spent an entire year being a Teacher's Aide in a Kindergarden classroom at Park Elementary in Three Rivers, Michigan. While there, I was responsible for read-alouds, craft activities, tutoring, online quizzes and grading. While at WMU I participated in a poem project at Winchell Elementary in Kalamazoo, Michigan for my English 3690 class. I spent three days with a third grader and taught him how to create ideas, draft, and write his own poetry. I became a teacher because it is amazing to watch a child learn and feel confident about him/herself.
