I am a Michigan lifer. I was born in Southfield, MI, lived in Farmington until the age of seven then slowly began to make my way west.

Most of my childhood revolved around school and athletics. My seemingly lifelong involvement in the game of basketball has opened up doors to meeting and working with a infinitely diverse base of tremendous human beings. I owe the game of basketball for playing a large part in drawing me out of my shy, awkward phase. One of my favorite parts of the game of basketball is its ability to draw a collection of people closer simply by having a shared goal. There is such a sense of community in the game that it's hard to think of a better way for our kids to spend their time in an outside social setting. Exercise, teamwork, and fun. How can you beat that?
