For me College is very simple. I am not saying that it is easy, but my reasons for going and showing up everyday whether I want to or not is simple. Those reasons are that of securing my future. Or doing the best I can at that. In today's society it is very clear that without a college degree it will be very hard to do anything worth while. Without a college degree it becomes more and more difficult for anyone to properly integrate themselves into mainstream society. I do not believe this to be just or right, but this is the way it is clean cut and dry. So that is why I am here, that is why I do what I do day in and day out. The things I do now will hopefully help me later down the line. If they don't then I can at leaste say that I tried.

Now these reasons may seem very frivolous and shallow, but I can assure you that I do have some sort of hunger and lust for knowledge. But I am affraid that I becomes more apparent that with many degree programs it is not about the knowledge as much as it is about the degree. So yes, I do hope to have some great apifiny while I am here, and I do hope to "find myself". But it becomes more and more apparent that this might not happen. So I guess that for me it is quite simple.

Get the Degree, Don't Fail, and Hopefully Learn Something Along the Way.
