Leadership training focuses on
developing skills for your students through hands-on activities over the
course of a day. Sessions can range from 4-6 hours in length and can be
accommodated for groups ranging in size from 10-50 people. The session can be
geared to middle or high school aged groups.
If desired, a training booklet can be made to fit the needs of your
group and include the day's activities. The booklet also includes helpful
resources that students can look over in their search to become great
leaders.
If this is for you, the program will be run at your school. Some activities
will be run inside, but most of the activities are best run outdoors. In case
of inclement weather, a rain date can be planned, or the program can run as
scheduled indoors in a gymnasium.
Training can be suited to the needs of each individual group. Focus can be
devoted to one or a combination of the following areas: Communication,
Conflict Resolution, Goal-setting, Group Dynamics, Planning, Problem Solving,
Teamwork, and Trust. Special focus can be made on leadership styles, what
makes a leader, and who leaders are.
See the links above for a sample day schedule. The simulations and leadership
games are listed by name. Click here (1997-2003 Excel Workbook) to see
a chart of the games listed by the relative topic addressed. For more
