Koss makes sure you can turn up the volume without disturbing the neighbors. It makes stereo headphones, or "stereophones," and related accessories. Koss products include headphones for home and on-the-go. It also sells headphones for communications purposes (DJ, home recording, telephone). It has two subsidiaries: Koss Classics and Bi-Audio. Koss products are sold through more than 15,000 US retail outlets, including audio specialty stores, catalogs, discount stores, and national retailers, as well as to fire and police units. It has an international office in Switzerland. The Koss family -- including founder John Koss (inventor of stereo headphones) and his son, CEO Michael -- owns more than 75% of the firm.
