GOODWILL

Description

Goodwill Industries International supports the operations of more than 185 independent Goodwill chapters worldwide. Though known mainly for its 2,100-plus thrift stores, the organization focuses on providing rehabilitation, job training, placement, and employment services for people with disabilities and others. Goodwill is one of the world's largest providers of such services, as well as one of the world's largest employers of the physically, mentally, and emotionally disabled. Support for the organization's programs comes mainly from sales of donated goods, both at the retail stores and through an online auction site, as well as from contract work and from government grants. Goodwill was founded in 1902.
