The project, if I decide to assign it, will consist of a single report with 2-3 checkpoints along the way. This will not be an extensive paper, hopefully only a few pages (3-5) including computer output. The goal is to expose you to a statistical analysis outside of the rather 'boxed' examples that you see during class.
Checkpoint 1: To be assigned.
Checkpoint 2: To be assigned.
Checkpoint 3:(optional) To be assigned.
Short introduction describing the motivation for your project along with a list and brief description of the variables you intend to collect. You should
be sure to state the "research question" that you're investigating. More information will be given concerning this. Half of a page typed should be more than
enough for the introduction. Then a small table or another paragrpah to describe the variables should be fine.
A section containing descriptive statistics on all relevent variables. Graphs and tables can be included. You should provide comments on the results
and how they may or may not relate to your research question.
You should add a section on statistical inference. Perform appropriate statistical procedure(s) on your data to answer your research question and
write conclusions so that someone who doesn't really understand the statistics can still understand what the conclusion was. This would be the final project.
You can opt to have me look it over for another checkpoint and turn in a final draft later, or you can skip this and just turn in a final draft.
