Collegiate Objective |
On a personal level, one of the reasons I am entering college is to mature as an adult. I am entering college as an 18 year old that still doesn't know what he wants to do with his life. Throughout my time at Western Michigan University I hope to strive academically and obtain an overall GPA of 3.5, but more importantly I hope to grow mentally and physically. 18 is a tought year for a lot of people becasue most 18 year olds don't know what to do with their life. Therefore I think college is a great experience not only to further your education, but also learn more about yourself. For example, it will help me learn what I want to do after college, what I'm good at, what I like, and other things that will prepare me for the future. I think college is a great time of your life because it is an amazing learning experience. You are living on your own for the first time in your life, and it has taught me to make some decisions without the aid of my parents. In conclusion I hope that my experience in college will help me mature, make me an overall smarter person, and will help me figure out who I am as a person. On a professional level, I want to learn more about something that really interests me, and will help me make a good career path. I want to be on the honor role at least 5 different semesters that I am in college. I will become more knowledgable in various different topics that will help me be successful after I graduate. College will help me acheive my professional goals by helping me realize that the real world is quickly approaching and I need to prepare for that by getting good grades and growing as a person. In 20 years from now I see myself as a successful business man with a wife and kids. However to do that I need to concentrate on what's important, and that is striving to do well in school and learning as much as I can to prepare myself for the future. In conclusion I think my professional goals while here at college will help acheive my goals that I have set for the future. Richard Eriksen |
