The next AAAS conference will be held 18-22 Feb 2010 in San Diego, CA. (The last AAA conference was held on 12-16 Feb 2009 in Chicago, IL.) The submission deadline for symposium proposals closed in April 2009.
The American Chemical Society will hold its 238th Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. from 16-20 Aug 2009. Proposals were due 16 Mar 2009, and should have been submitted using the On-line Abstract Submittal System (OASYS). Science education proposals should be submitted for consideration by the Division of Chemistry Education. (Select CHED to go to the symposia page and then select the symposium topic.)
The last Association for Science Teacher Education conference was held in Hartford, CT on 8-10 Jan 2009 at the Marriott Hartford Downtown. Paper proposals were due 6 Jul 2008. The 2010 conference will take place in Sacramento, CA on 14-16 Jan 2010. The proposal deadline has been extended to 12 Jul 2009. Additional information is located here.
The 13th Biennial Conference of the European Association for Research in Learning and Instruction will be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands from Aug 25-29, 2009. The deadline for proposals was 31 Oct 2008. Go here for further information.
The European Science Education Research Association will hold its 2009 conference will in Istanbul, Turkey from August 31- Sep 4, 2009. The deadline for proposals was 16 Jan 2009. For more information, go here.

The History of Science Society will hold its biennial meeting 19-22 Nov 2009 in Phoenix, AZ. Proposals were due 1 Apr 2009. Additional information on the conference is located here.
The 8th International Conference for the History of Science in Science Education (ICHSSE) will be held 16-19 August 2010 at Maresias, a beach in the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The main theme of next conference will be ³Learning science and about science through history². This is a conference with about 25 invited speakers, with no parallel sections, which facilitates intensive dialogue and change of ideas among participants. The Tenth International History, Philosophy and Science Teaching Conference was held 24-28 June 2009 at the University of Notre Dame. Proposals were due on Monday, March 23, 2009. The Eleventh International History, Philosophy and Science Teaching Group Conference has been tentatively scheduled to take place 1-5 July 2011 and will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The 1st Latin American Conference of the International History, Philosophy and Science Teaching Group (IHPST-LA) will be held 19-21 August 2010 at Maresias, a beach in the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Following the guidelines of the international conferences of the IHPST, the Latin American Conference will be devoted to the presentation and discussion of papers on the use of history and philosophy of science in science teaching. It is open for submission of papers in English, Portuguese and Spanish - the official languages of the meeting.. For additional information, please visit the website here.

The International Society for the History, Philosophy and Social Studies of Biology will hold its biennial meeting 12-16 Jul 2009 in Brisbane, Australia. Proposals were due 8 Feb 2009. Additional information on the conference is located here.
The Journal of Science Education will hold an International Congress of Science Education celebrating 10 years of the journal at Cartagena, Colombia, 15- 18 July 2009. Abstracts were due 10 Feb 2008.
The Michigan Academy of Arts, Sciences and Letters held its annual conference on 20 March 2009 at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Abstracts were due 13 Nov 2008.
The 2009 conference was held March 5-7, 2009 in Detroit, MI. Go here for more information. (Submissions were due October 3, 2008.) The next conference will be held 4-6 March 2010 in Lansing, Michigan.
The 2009 conference for the National Association of Biology Teachers will take place at the Sheraton Denver in Denver, CO from November 11-14, 2009. Additional information is located here. The deadline for posters from 4 year colleges and universities is 15 Jun 2009.
The 2009 conference for the National Association of Researchers in Science Teaching took place at the Hyatt Regency in Garden Grove, CA from April 17-21, 2009. The Southeastern Association for Science Teacher Education held its annual conference October 10-11, 2008 at the University of South Carolina, Columbia SC. Paper proposals were due 15 Sep 2008.
The School Science and Mathematics Association will hold its annual conference on 22-24 Oct 2009 at the Grand Sierra Resort Hotel in Reno, Nevada. The 2010 conference will be held at Fort Myers, FL.
