We could learn alot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors...
but they ALL exist nicely in the same box.

80-89% : B (Good)
70-79% : C (Average)

Welcome students to English! In this class, we will be transported back in time as we read literature as early as Beowulf to as recent as I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. While reading works of different time periods, we will also explore different genres of literature, in addition to strengthening our writing skills.

Some things to keep in mind in order to be successful in this class:

- Always be present in class. You cannot learn new things and people cannot learn from you if you are absent.
- Cheating of any kind is not permitted in my classroom and will be prosecuted. Don't risk it!
- I realize that everyone learns things differently and has different abilities, but try your best at everything we do in class.
- Feel free ask questions and talk with me.

One of the projects you will work on is a WebQuest. This is an online assignment to be completed with Cisnero's The House on Mango Street. Have a great semester!
