Speak Out WebQuest
Speak is a brilliant novel by Laurie Halse Anderson about Melinda Sorbino, an adolescent who is raped just before her freshman year.
The book centers on the struggles Melinda has as she tries to find her voice again.
This WebQuest is designed to help students more clearly understand the issue of sexual violence.
In my mind, it should be used as part of a short unit on Speak, which takes students through Melinda’s difficult freshman year.
