Stephanie Higdon

Objective: To obtain a position working in an elementary school setting where I can educate.

Education: 1998 - current Western Michigan University Kalamazoo, MI
Elementary Education
With combined minors of Math/Science, English and an emphasis in Early Elementary Education. Estimated Graduation Date: Winter 2003
Interests and activities: My special interests include painting, music, yoga, pottery, travel, reading and writing.

Languages: I have been in Spanish classes for six years.

Work experience: March 2000- September 2000 Cosmo's Cucina Kalamazoo, MI
Senior Waitstaff
Aside from quality customer service, I answered telephones, made reservations, managed waitstaff, managed own tabs and bills, handled customer complaints, trained new employees and expanded my interest in find foods and wine.
March 1999- March 2000 Oakwood Bistro Kalamazoo, MI
Waitstaff
Quality customer care was top priority. I also opened the restaurant, handled my own money, cleaned (even bathrooms) and grew in my knowledge of fine food and wine.

Volunteer experience: Fall/ Winter 2000

Voluntary service included stocking, answering customer questions, and basic store maintenance.

Voluntary service included answering telephones, making many meals for homeless, serving food, clean- up and basic maintenance.
