CIS 260: Business Programming:

This course is designed to guide beginner programmers in writing procedures using the Visual Basic.Net an object-oriented language.  This course had taught me how to create objects, access and manipulate object properties and how to write well structured procedures.

 

CIS 360: System Analyst and Design

This course introduces various methods, techniques, and tools to determine and meet information requirements by building proper information models that can be further implemented. I have learned what being a systems analysis really entails and how to develop logical design through a real-world project approach. I had the most fun In this class because class because it focus on the roles, responsibilities, and mind set of the systems analyst as well as the systems project manager, rather than programming oriented.

 

CIS 326: LAN Administration

This course provided me with and introduction into design, implementation, and administration of local area networks.  This course taught me how to design the elements of LAN architecture and how to plan and administrate system local are networks.

 

CIS 460: Business Database Applications Using Client/Server Technology

This course is focused on business data management.  It covers the basic in data retrieval via SQL, logical database design, physical database implementation, and end-user interface development using several modern software technologies.  Thought this course I have learned how to develop database applications using client/server technology.

 

I have taken other classes here at western that have and will continue to strengthen and develop my other business areas.
