DUBLIN, IRELAND
Dublin, Ireland is one of many European Countries that celebrate Christmas with a grand entrance. At the beginning of the November month, Ireland opens up for holiday markets. These markets are all over downtown and have helped to create Dublin famous in the wintertime. Dublin has about 15 different markets throughout downtown that allow tourists and residents to purchase food, drinks, holiday goods, toys, books and crafts sold by mercha ts from the surrounding towns.
This past year, Dublin was host to the Ryder Cup Golf Tournament. Dublin County is actually home to 60 of the 440 golf courses that are in Ireland.
There are also many different cafes, pubs, local bars and gay bars in the downtown area that are fun to visit.
