Why I Want to Teach and My Personal Philosophy
To become
happy and successful adults children need to have a good education and high
self esteem. I can not wait to become a teacher so that I can bring those
two important elements into so many peoples lives. Teaching is the only career
that I have ever wanted to do. I really never thought about anything else.
Even when I was a child I was always the teacher when my friends and I would
play school. I do not remember many details of elementary school, but
I do remember that when you have a teacher who wants to help you grow both
mentally and socially, and also wants to make you feel comfortable and secure
in the classroom you can then concentrate on learning. This is the type of
environment I want my classroom to become. My personal philosophy is that my classroom is
a warm place where children feel comfortable expressing themselves, and where
they are able to be excited about learning in the present and in their future
classrooms.
