 Learning
1. Explain topic several different ways
I would explain things several different ways and/or have different activities because there are three types of learners: visual learners, auditory learners and kinesthetic learners. It is important that all lesson plans have different activities that teach the same topic. I would explain the material in a lesson plan in the forms of audio, visual and hands-on activities. By doing this it reinsures that each type of student can understand the material that is presented.

2. Communicate with Students
It is extremely important to be involved with students and their progress in a learning environment. By communicating with students this promotes student learning because if a student does not understand something or has a question the teacher needs to be aware of the problem so the student can progress through their education. Also students need to feel that the teacher cares about their success in the classroom and this happens when the teacher communicates with their students. Meeting with students to talk about their progress, not just with their parents also is very important so they are not left out in the dark. Without this communication how can a teacher conduct a successful learning environment?

3. Constructive Criticism
Constructive criticism is a very important tool to promote student learning because it lets the student know what his or her strengths and weaknesses are and I believe that every student needs to know this. Students need to be aware of their weaknesses so they can improve in those areas and they need to hear what their strengths are because it builds confidence. Building ones confidence is a very important thing to do while a child is at a young age. Also to promote confidence it is important for the teacher to communicate with the students by positive comments or positive reinforcement.

4. Goal Setting
By students setting goals for themselves, it would promote student learning because goal setting is a life long tool that helps that individual achieve things. Learning to set goals also promotes self-motivation, which is needed to achieve goals inside and outside of the classroom. Without a student setting goals for themselves a student cannot see the progress that they have made in the classroom. All these factors are needed for a student to succeed.

5. Review and Repetition
Reviewing and repetition is very important tool to use in the classroom to promote student learning. I believe that it helps to refresh the student’s memory about past material that they have learned. Students tend to remember material for a longer period of time when it is reviewed throughout the year. Reviewing and repetition is essential in mathematics and is normally the way teachers can tell just how well the students are understanding and remembering the material.

6. Problem Solving
I would use problem solving in my classroom to promote student learning because students need to learn to figure problems independently or learn how to collaborate ideas in a group of peers to solve a problem. Problem solving is a life long skill needed in everyday life. It also allows the student to think of creative solutions to the problem and experiment with different solutions. Problem solving is an essential tool to use in the classroom.

Teaching Diverse Learners
1. Study different cultures
Studying different cultures would be effective in teaching diverse students because it would give the students the opportunity to learn about other races, cultures and backgrounds of people from all over the world and even some of their peers in the classroom. It would also give the students the opportunity to learn more about their own background.

2. Sing Songs from different cultures
Children love to sing and by singing songs from different cultures students can experience the sounds of cultures from all around the world. I would also introduce different instruments that are used in the music so students can learn what instruments these sounds come from. All students need to be exposed to different cultures and sounds so this is a great way of teaching diversity to students.

3. Teach Equality
I think that teaching equality would be an effective way in teaching diverse learners because all students no matter what race, cultural or economic background need to treat others equally. Teaching this at a young age can change the way society is in the future. Also teaching equality would make a classroom environment more enjoyable by the students treating everyone in the class how they would like to be treated.

4. Relate topics/material to all backgrounds
By relating topics/material to all backgrounds the students can relate easier to the new information by relating it to something that they are familiar with. For example when talking about special celebrations, different cultural celebrations should be talked about instead of just focusing just on the American celebrations. This also educates students about the different ways cultures celebrate special events. By relating topics/material to all backgrounds it gives students a sense of how it would be like to have a different background or ethnicity.

5. Hang posters and maps in the classroom
Visual stimulation is important for effectively teaching diverse learners. Displaying posters with facts and information about different cultures in the classroom is a great why for students to learn about different backgrounds. Also displaying maps in the classroom is also important for students to identify where the cultures are located on maps. A world map would be best for students to do this with. I believe that doing these things would make you a more effective teacher of diverse learners because the students are learning about how diverse the world is.

Motivation
1. Goal Setting
By having students set personal and academic goals for themselves this would effectively motivate them to accomplish things in life and in the classroom. This would also give the students a reason to find classroom activities significant. I believe by doing this would motivate students because without goals to work towards how can students have a drive to achieve something?

2. Rewards
I would use rewards as a way to effectively motivate students. All students love prizes or special privileges when they have shown good behavior or achieved something academically. This is also a form of positive reinforcement to the actions of that student. I believe that students would also strive to repeat this good behavior or achieve something academically again which would force the student to have motivation.

3. Encouragement from the teacher
By students hearing encouragement from the teacher it causes them to develop confidence, which is needed to have motivation to achieve a certain task. I believe this because it is proven that students with high self-confidence and have positive encouragement in their lives are more successful in the classroom then students with low self-confidence and have no encouragement at all.

4. Use Creativity
I think that by using creativity in the classroom will effectively motivate students because it adds fun and character to the material. This would also add interest and curiosity that will keep students motivated.

 5. Challenge Students
Students that are faced with challenging problems from time to time will be motivated to solve the problems. It also challenges the students to think a little harder about things and test their knowledge. It is important to have a challenging environment so student will not become bored and unmotivated about the material that they are learning.

6. Show self-motivation
By showing self-motivation students will learn from this. Students model their teachers and other role models such as their parents, so by modeling motivation, students will recognize it and copy the teachers actions.

Classroom Management
1. Classroom Rules
2. Punishment for Bad Behavior
3. Have a Class Motto: “Treat others as you would like to be treated”
4. Organized activities
5. Daily Routine
6. Clean and Comfortable Environment
