Career and job goals

I have always wanted to be an elementary school teacher, but I never received an opportunity
to go to school until know. My job goals is to provide a positive and welcoming classroom
environment where the children can learn and reach their full potential. I believe in letting students
use their imaginations and be creative at what ever they choose to do. I hope to encourage my
students in a lasting love for learning.

Previous work experience

Day Care Center, out of my home I was licensed through the state of Michigan for having
no more than 6 kids at one time

Kroger, cashiering, bagging, stocked shelves, customer service, Ann Arbor,
Michigan,1991-1999

Unique skills/talents

I have a natural love to sew but not just any kind of sewing I love to cross stitch. I started
this when I was in 7th grade sewing, and the teacher bought us all real small christmas cross
stitch kits. And ever sense that class I have made Christmas tree skirts and stocking, birth
announcements, and cute animal pictures.

Hobbies/Volunteer activities

As a hobby I collect cats, any kind of cats it could be porcelain, ceramic cats but mostly
I collect calico cats by Pricilla Hillman. She designed these cats and made them. The sad
thing about it is that she's in the process of not making them any more. So I won't be able
to collect any more new ones from the calico cat collection.

I volunteer every Sunday when I teach sunday school to 3-4 year olds. I also help out every
summer during vacation bible school, as a crew leader or an area leader.
