Section 1: My biography

My name is Salam Al Maghslah. I am from Al Qateef city In the Eastren region of Saudi Arabia. I came to the United States in May 2006 to Stat my career in studying at Western Michigan University. First I had to study at CELCIS which is an institute for teaching English as a second Language. I have studied English as a second language since the second grade in the elementary school and I studied In other places like institutions for teaching English inside Saudi Arabia and outside it . After finishing high school I enrolled in a community College called Dammam Community College. I took some general classes like Business Enterprise , Calculus , Computer applications, and Accounting. The reason I did not finish my degree there because I would like to have a bachelor Degree. I applied for a scholarship that offered by the government and I accepted. I applied to WMU and I get accepted . After finishing the CELCIS I enrolled in the University in spring 2007 and I choose to be a CIS major. I will graduate in Summer I 2010. After graduation I am thinking to go back to my country to find a good job.

The reason Al Qateef has been lived all this time that because it is an Oasis. It is famous by having a palm trees and lot of Ground water. The most evidence the researchers found that Qateef has lived first in 3500 BC. It was also named Al khatt and Catues. It has been a part of lot of Empires such as the Othman Empire , Portuguese territory , and Al Qaramitans. In addition, it came a part of Saudi Arabia Since 1913.

Section 3: My hobby

The most hobby I like is Drag Car Racing. I started doing it from first year of the college. I liked it because my younger brother has a customized Skyline which is car that manufacturing by Nissan. He taught me the techniques of driving these kind of cars. Basically this kind of sport is illegal in Saudi Arabia. We cannot practice this sport in streets because it is dangers. After I bought my own car which is a Honda Accord and put the high performance parts in it, I register to a drag races in Kingdom of Bahrain which is near to my city. There is Circuit opened in 2004 and it used for Drag racing and Formella one racing.

Section 4: Proud of

Home:

I am proud of helping my father at home like fixing any leaks in pips or replacing a light pipes. Also we have a big farm and we have labors that work there but sometimes I work there in the holidays with my father there or buying supplies we need to use in the farm.

School:

I took a social work class in fall 2008 with Dr.Coony. I learned the importance of social work in the community. I applied this knowledge in working with an Organization that helps Iraq to help and develop the health services. We work a volunteer in moving supplies and medicines to places to store them and then we move them again to the shipping company.

my best website for purchasing an airline tickets. it offered a varity of travel search engins so you can choose the what fit you.

facebook

a greate tool to find classmates and old frinds because you can customize the searching options. You can choose the name of schools or college or connect your MSN account to facebook to find your frinds there.
