The Faster We go...

Emerging technology is both exciting and scary.  We live in a constantly changing world where children become visually oriented at an earlier age than ever before.  Information is thrown at us from all directions and at mind boggling speeds.  Technology that previously lasted for twenty years is obsolete in two years.  One of education’s biggest challenges is to keep abreast of these changes and find ways to integrate newer technology at a rate that prevents its processes from becoming as obsolete as last year’s X-Box.

.  If you consider technology in the context of Moore’s Law, it certainly makes sense.  How often in the past five years have you purchased a piece of technology only to learn it has become obsolete within a year’s time?  Software and computer hardware are evolving at an extreme rate of speed.  Individuals are struggling to keep up, so how can we expect educational systems to continue to be on the cutting edge?

One way is to keep informed. This website is designed to assist you in your quest to stay abreast of emerging technology. Resources are listed by categories of interest, just click on the section of your choice to move on.
