Self-Evaluation

Argh…where to begin?  To be perfectly honest, I am quiet disappointed with myself this semester in this class and the others.  In terms of the projects I must say that we, as a group have done better than I could have hoped for.  The only qualm that I have is that we have not really gelled very well as a group where the communication lines were often left by the wayside and everybody was left to their own devices.  That being said, though we were left to our own devices, each on his/her own was able to shine brilliantly.  I could not ask for a better team.  I just sometimes feel that I have failed them as a member somewhat when we end up having to rush to complete the projects due to a lost email, misunderstood direction or some other calamity of the same sort.  The project I was most proud of was the first project because researching the web possibilities was most enjoyable.  In the end, I liked how I was able to tie in video gaming into the mix and was able to incorporate a bit of my world view as well.  The most horrific project was dealing with the SAP.  One mistake and you’re done for.  How was I supposed to deal with a system like that?  Not that it wasn’t a useful lesson, mind you, but I like the days where my head wasn’t confused to the point of cracking.

I enjoyed this class but the hours, to be frank, were murder.  6:30pm to 9?  What sort of unholy communion allowed such a time slot?  Joking aside, I found my attention levels wax and wane in alarming degrees as I struggled through the classes.  I liked the way the class addressed information history into the whole mix because I am (unashamedly) a big fan of history and could not help but enjoy those parts of the class.  My greatest fear was that, as a business class, I would be akin to a duck out of water.

In conclusion, the class was a good place to learn new technologies, business history and ideas, and I was glad that I got to meet different people during this whole endeavor.  I just pray that I survive the rest of this class.
