Collegiate Objective

On a personal level, I am attending Western Michigan University in order to experience the real world and get a new look on my life.  Growing up in Frankenmuth, MI, I live in a very sheltered community, and I am taking the chance now to learn more about different cultures and heritages.  I want to be more independent in my ways and try to get all that I can out of my college years.  By attending WMU I will have the chance to experience a new life style and grow and improve on becoming a more independent person.  By attending a University it will allow me to meet new people of all different backgrounds and get a better take on life.

On a professional level, I am attending Western Michigan University in order to take advantage of the excellent business program here. I will soon be part of the Haworth College of Business where I plan to major in Accounting. One of my scholarly goals is to keep my GPA above 3.5 and to graduate with honors. I hope that doing well in college with further prepare me to find a successful job after graduating. I hope that striving in school will help me to further succeed in life and give me a greater understanding of responsibility. I look to join a Business Fraternity in the fall of 2007 so that I can be more involved within the Business aspects of college and will have the opportunity to socialize with other students that are interested in succeeding in the business atmosphere. Overall I wish to further my education and learn enough so that I can have a satisfying career so that I will be able to support myself.
