Personally, I am entering college to get a higher education and prepare myself for the challenges of the world around me. As a Western Michigan University basketball player on an athletic scholarship, I am faced with a variety of challenges everyday, whether it be physical or mental. I hope to be able to incorporate all the skills that I have developed as a division 1 athlete into my career as a student. I have made so many friends due to my involvement in the athletics. I believe that these friends will remain close to my heart even after my college career. These are the years of our lives and I think that the people closest to you will really come out of the woodwork and make lifelong impressions.

My ultimate goal is to major in some kind of business and minor in spanish. I still have not decided on the specific business field I want to concentrate on so I am trying to take general courses that will aid in my decision making. I think my spanish minor will be very useful in whatever I end up doing. I dream to hold a career still pertaining to the sport environment so I will be able to use my experiences as an athlete to help. Overall, I am excited to see what the rest of my years here at WMU throw at me.
