My Carrer and Goals:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist and elementary teacher, my main goal is to help inspire kids. As a Speech Pathologist I work with kids to help them overcome language barriers they experience due to health impairments. Working with the student, I help them learn to better communicate through both spoken and written language, language boards and sign language. It is an amazing feeling to watch students progress and get back on track with the rest of their classmates. As a teacher I hope to provide the best education possible in a relaxed, fun enviorment. I love making learning fun and watching my students make progress through the year!

I am a firm believer in learning from experiences. My teaching philosophy has always focused around learning from each student since everyone is unique in their own way and has something special to offer. I am very patient and believe that everyone has the ability to succeed with the right motivation and am proud of all of my students accomplishments.
My Education:
I graduated from Troy Athens High School in Troy, Michigan. I later went on to Attend Western Michigan University where i recieved a masters in Speech Pathology and a minor in Elementary Education and French. I am currently workong on recieving my teaching certificate in French at Western Michigan University.
Work History:
I have worked with kids since I was 14 and have loved every minute of it. In High School I was a full time nanny and did kids birthday parties at Pump It Up Party Zone on the side. After college I immediately started as a Speech Pathologist and when a teaching job opened up I decided to become a full time teacher and part time Speech Pathologist and it was the best desicion I've ever made.
Interests, Hobbies and Activities:
I love working out and playing tennis. As a part of the Honors College for Western Michigan University I tutor third graders once a week and often volunteer at the animal shelter. I am fluent in French and am later going to learn Spanish as soon as I am finished with my French teaching certificate.
