Classroom Expectations
Learning is a never-ending process. A process, which through education, every student has the right to. No other student has the power to interfere with that right.
At the point in time which this process is interfered with, steps will be taken to resolve the matter and rectify the situation.
First, the offending student will receive an oral reprimand. This reprimand will be followed by a change in his or her seating arrangement, if the situation is not remedied.
If the problems persist, notification to parent(s) or guardian(s) by phone or note shall ensue.
Should the behavior of the student continue to spiral downward, he or she will have earned himself or herself after school room detention.
Further inappropriate behavior will result in a conference with parent(s)\guardian(s) and myself. As a final resource, the student will be directly referred to the school administration for action as provided for by school board policy.
Because learning is a never-ending process, I request that my students be respectful of everyone and listen to others when they are speaking; raising their hands before they speak. Most often, someone else has the strength to ask the questions that we wanted the answers to, but were afraid to ask.
I insist that my students respond appropriately and bring any problems or concerns to me. Where there are problems and concerns, learning is limited.
I require that all of my students bring: notebooks, pencils, pens, and creativity. As well as request any missing assignments after school. These measures are designed to promote the maximum output from student input; by insuring that the student always has the necessary materials to be successful.
Success also depends on participation in daily activities, and the encouragement (and assistance) of one another whenever possible.
