SPSS and SAS: If you are using SAS or SPSS and need help with programing or data entry, please call me for assistance (7-5457). For statistical consulting, see the Statiistics Lab in the Statistics Department.

Faculty can obtain SPSS and SAS from Microcomputer Sales - fees vary.

Students can purchase the SPSS Graduate Package from Microcomputer Sales or rent it from e-academy.com. The SPSS Student package is usually bundled with a text book.

Students can purchase SAS Learning Editon from SAS, Inc or e-academy.com
Workshops and seminiars are offered by the Instructional Technology Center for faculty and teaching assistants every semester. For a list of the current offerings, check the IT Center workshop schedule. If you can't fit a workshop into your schedule, please make an appointment at the IT Center (387-6958). We can help you get started on a particular piece of software that we support

Workshops on statistical software are open to any member of the WMU community.

Basic Dreamweaver
pre-requisites: a basic understanding of Web terminology.

This workshop includes is site structure, setting up your initial site in DW, developing a personal home page and course home page from a template, creating a feedback form, and importing web documents created by word processors. Topics may vary depending on participant experience and time allotted.

Advanced Dreamweaver
pre-requities: previous experience using DW

The advanced workshop covers how to do rollover images, jump menus, HTML styles, navigation bars, DW templates, add functionality to DW using extenstions, and more. Three fun packed hours of Dreamweaver tips and tricks.

Easy Javascript Anyone Can Learn
pre-requistite: previous experience with DW, Some knowledge of HTML is helpful

Using JavaScript routines found on the Internet, you can add spice to your website, including adding local weather (including the wind chill), a glossary of terms, days left to the next test, and more. This workshop will show you how to add JavaScript to your Web pages using Dreamweaver 4.

Using Forms in Dreamweaver
pre-requisite: previous experinece using DW. Some knowledge of HTML is helpful

You can use simple web forms throughout the semester to assess the effectiveness of your instructional website. Using Dreamweaver, this workshop will teach you how to build a form to collect general comments and to do periodic assessments of classroom activities. Results can be e-mailed to your or stored in a file to download.
