What is the opportunity?
The College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Western Michigan
University is offering a Summer Workshop for high school students who
are entering the 11th and 12th grades in the coming academic school
year. In this workshop participants will learn to program a small USB
stick development tool for use with any computer system.
At the same time, participants will learn about the exciting fields
of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/ Engineering, as well as
other engineering fields and opportunities.
|
When will this happen?
The workshop lasts one week. You can apply for one of two choices...
- August 4 to 8
or
- August 11 to 15
|
Is this a good activity for me?
The successful participant will have had Algebra II. There is no reason
to have had computer programming background before, although it would
certainly help! Students with less than Algebra II will be considered,
but preference will be given those with more mathematics
