Welcome to my website!!

I invite you to explore my pages and learn a little bit more about me!

My name is Sureau I'm a transfer student studying Recreation and Sport Management at Western Michigan University. I am passionate about the outdoors and spend the majority of my time exploring the natural wonders that are just outside our doorsteps.

Before transferring to WMU I was studying outdoor leadership and education at Shenandoah University a small private liberal arts college in Northern Virginia. The choice to transfer to WMU and move back to my hometown was made for me when the University decided the program I was in was to small to continue funding.

I am passionate about my family, friends, dog Calypso, horse Zydeco, and experiencing as many adventures as I can.

At 26 I am a non-traditional student and while it has its challenges I wouldn't trade the life experiences I gained prior to starting my college educational career.

I am an avid traveler and have steadily filled my passport with stamps from countries including New Zealand, Jamaica, Ecuador, Mexico and Canada and 46 of the United States. I have lived in four different states in three years starting with Kalamazoo, Michigan, Chicago Illinois, Winchester Virginia, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and finally back to my hometown of Kalamazoo.

~Quotes that encourage me to be the best I can be~

When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.
