Professional Development -

Professional development is training provided to teachers, administrators and paraprofessionals through conferences, workshops, peers, co-workers and outside sources in order to increase their effectiveness in reaching students. Professional development improves job-related knowledge, skills and attitudes helping teachers learn new roles and teaching strategies. If presented in a consistent fashion, over time, the program can have maximum effect on student achievement.
