Nate Frisbie
Nate Frisbie is a senior journalism major at Western Michigan University. The Portage, Michigan native’s world revolves around sports. He hopes to be able to pursue his passions and one day be a television or radio personality on a sports talk show. His other career goal is to be a play-by-play announcer for the CBS Sports. In his free time, Nate enjoys going to the movies, watching television and coaching basketball.

Theresa Ghiloni
Theresa Ghiloni is a senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Film Video and Media Studies with a minor in International and Global Studies at Western Michigan University. She is an original member of the Young Broadcasters of Tomorrow and an advocate for student-run media. She has worked internships at the Kalamazoo Gazette and the Public Media Network where she went on to be a production assistant in the summer of 2012. In the future, Theresa plans to pursue a career in multimedia journalism at an independent news organization.

Katie King
Katie King is a senior Journalism major with Anthropology and Gender and Women’s studies minors at Western Michigan University. She interned at L7 Women’s Magazine in Summer 2012. She wrote for HerCampus WMU before becoming Editor-In-Chief in December 2012. She also interns for the Western Herald. After graduating, she really has no idea what exactly she wants to do, but some way wants to help save animals. It may be through journalism, or by taking another route and going to law school to become an animal welfare lawyer.

Ambrosia Neldon
Ambrosia Neldon is a soon-to-be graduate who is double-majoring in Journalism and Rhetoric and Writing Studies at Western Michigan University. She currently serves as the News Editor/Web Manager of the Western Herald and has previously interned at the Kalamazoo Gazette. During her senior year, Ambrosia dedicated most of her free time to saving student media at WMU from budget cuts that could have led to the downfall of two organizations with long histories at the university: the Western Herald and WIDR-FM. Following graduation, Ambrosia plans to obtain a position at one of the MLive hubs where she can share her passion in investigative community reporting.

Nathan Palcowski
Nathan Palcowski is from Lowell, Michigan, pursuing a journalism degree at Western Michigan University. He has written stories for the Western Herald and is currently part of the Athletic Media Relations staff at WMU. Nathan likes to watch, play and argue about sports in his spare time. He hopes to one day be a nationally known sports columnist for the Chicago Tribune.

Jocelyn Steinke is a professor in the School of Communication and holds a joint appointment with the Department of Gender and Women’s Studies at Western Michigan University. She teaches courses in news writing and reporting, feature writing, environmental reporting, and science writing.
