Writing/Story Assignment #1: Leads

Read the instructions carefully. If the exercise calls for an impact lead, follows the style and format for a hard news summary lead but place the emphasis of the lead on those affected. If the exercise calls for a delayed identification lead, be sure to write two sentences, two separate paragraphs for that lead. If the exercise calls for a creative/feature lead, be sure your lead will capture readers' attention.

Write leads for the following exercises:

Ex. 8-1, #3

Ex. 8-2, #1, 4

Ex. 8-4, #1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Ex. 8-7, #2, 3

Please type and double space.

Don't be late -- read the deadline policy for this class.

Be sure to allow enough time to complete this assignment and to proofread! You want to turn in your best writing! Call for an appointment or see me during office hours if you have questions.
