About Us
The Public Relations Organization (PRO) is a registered student organization at Western Michigan University. Being a member of PRO can be benefitial to all Communication students and is not restricted to those studying Public Relations.
PRO meets every second Tuesday of the month in Brown Hall. Meetings vary from guest speakers from professionals in the various Communication fields and writing workshops, such as resume building.
Every year PRO takes two trips to Chicago, Illinois to tour the PR firms. This gives our members an opportunity to step into a day in the life of a PR professional. This is also a great way to network yourself. Members receive an entry in the Gold Book, a book of professional resumes that is given to the firms visted in Chicago.
PRO provides an opportunity for Communication students to network with their peers, meet professionals in the field, and gain professional skills needed to enter the workpalce upon graduation.
