My favorite training principles

Traing principles are techniques to generate results in an exercise program. As a personal trainer, and the director of a personal training program, it is important for my staff and I to implement training principles with our clients to generate the results that they are paying for.

#1 muscle confusion: This principle is implemented to trick the muscles. Constantly changing the stress on the muscle forces progression.

#2 split training: This technique divides the muscle groups to be trained on different days. By training only two muscle groups at time, the volume of stress can be doubled or tripled depending on the time allotment.

#3 Strip setting: This technique has the participant executing an exercise to failure, reducing the resistance, and continuing the set to failure, and continuing this process until the muscle is completely fatigued.
